Parts of the Equation – Classified Cards

Math is a language. For example, each part of a mathematical equation has specific terminology. Each word has expression, usage and meaning. As the mathematics materials are being demonstrated it is expected that the guide will use the correct vocabulary for each of the terms, however this should not be the only way the child may access this information. We would like to offer another more independent way for the child to learn this important vocabulary. We have created this Parts of the Equation – Classified Card Set for children who are reading and who would like to master this terminology for themselves. Just as in any other language, a strong vocabulary sets a good foundation for confidence and continued interest.
